Giancarlo is a graduate of Brown University with a degree in Modern Culture and Media.  After moving to New York in 2003, he began his career in post-production at B Productions.  His documentary credits include the PBS mini-series "The African Americans: Many Rivers to Cross" with Henry Louis Gates Jr., the award-winning feature "Through a Lens Darkly: Black Photographers and the Emergence of a People", and Jim Jarmusch's "Gimme Danger". He joined the Brick City TV team in 2012 to work on the 2-hour election special "Second Coming?: Will Black America Decide the 2012 Election" for BET News.  Since then he has worked on a number of projects for BCTV/Blowback Productions, including the films "Rikers" for Bill Moyers, "Class Divide" for HBO, and "Freeway: Crack in the System", as well as CNN's 8-hour docu-series "Chicagoland", and the globe-spanning 6-hour special event "Ocean Warriors" for Animal Planet.
