on Chicagoland, an epic 8-hour docuseries for CNN about the challenges facing a quintessential American city.
With unprecedented access to the Chicago Public Schools system and Principal Liz Dozier, CHICAGOLAND offers an inside perspective on where politics, education, culture, and crime affect real people’s lives as they fight for change. The challenges facing Chicago in public education, street violence, and neighborhood infrastructure are among them, and they are not unique to Chicago. The series storylines focus on how the city’s policymakers including Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who is attempting to unite with community leaders and residents to affect positive change and allow aspirations to be realized. The gripping series ultimately plays out in the Windy City and tells a lot about where the country is headed.
